"What ho, chaps? Still up for a bit of a joust?"
— Charles Pipping IV[src]

Charles Pipping IV is a British noble who lives in a castle next to Reginald and Winifred Fletcher. He participates in Phineas and Ferb's jousting tournament, while Candace tries to be his princess.

Biography[]

Candace stumbles upon Charles and Stubbings playing tennis in the Pipping family court. The noble comments about his victory over the butler, who compliments his master. Candace continues to observe them, infatuated by the boy. After being literally served a tennis ball by Stubbings, Charles laughs at the servant's pun. Candace then confronts Phineas on what he is doing, and the noble takes the opportunity to greet her. He is interested in the boys' plan, which they explain is a medieval tournament. Excited, Charles suggests using his family's castle as the setting and for Candace to be the princess in the tower.

Preparing their armor, Charles gives the boys the idea of them using it together, leaving afterwards to get his own equipment. Following the boys' victory over the black knight, Charles appears to joust with them, getting his lance from Stubbings. In round two of the tournament, the boys and the noble crash into one another, ending the competition with a draw. On the closing ceremony, Charles points out the black knight, Candace, who is sent flying by an explosion and is ultimately caught by the noble ("A Hard Day's Knight").

Physical appearance[]

Charles is light-skinned and has blond hair. He wears a blue polo shirt, white shorts, white socks, and white sneakers with light blue details.

Personality[]

He is easygoing and playful. He takes the time to introduce himself to guests, and is shown to have a good sense of humor, enjoying his butler's jokes. A fun-loving person, he finds the boys' plan to be brilliant and quickly partakes in it.

Relationships[]

Stubbings[]

He seems to be close to Stubbings, as they enjoy each other's presence, with the noble constantly enjoying the butler's jokes.

Candace[]

Candace is infatuated by Charles and tries to impress him by being the princess he needs to save, despite him only viewing it as part of the tournament.

Phineas and Ferb[]

He likes the boys' ingenuity and helps them with the competition, jousting with them in the second round.

Background Information[]

  • According to Reginald, his family's castle used to be owned by the Black Knight.
  • Charles looks similar to Jeremy. He was likely designed this way to show that Candace can be attracted to boys who look like her main love interest. In some of the foreign dubs, he has the same voice actor as Jeremy.
