Cowabunga Candace is an online game on the Phineas and Ferb websites and was included in the "Phineas and Ferb Arcade" application for the iOS.
Plot[]
Candace wants to be the surfing champion to impress Jeremy. The game is based on the episode "Lawn Gnome Beach Party of Terror", and Candace is wearing a similar swimsuit in the game to the one she is wearing in the episode. The main aim of the game is to collect 50,000 points, so the player can get the gold trophy when the game ends.
Gameplay[]
Left makes Candace go to the left, right makes her go to the right, up makes her jump over obstacles and space makes her perform tricks (if she has collected any trick tokens).
There are 3 colored balls that string together to make a trick (e.g., hand stand, method, and spin). If the player collects all of them in a line, Candace will perform the trick corresponding with the balls' color.
Phineas, Ferb, Isabella, and Jeremy will show up at times, but will not interfere with the gameplay. If Jeremy is on-screen while Candace performs a trick, the player will be awarded double the points (e.g., a 200 point trick becomes a 400 point trick if Jeremy is present). Trick tokens are placed randomly about the wave, and are stored in the trick bar when collected, but only three can be held at a time.
There are also obstacles that will hinder the player's performance. If one is hit, Candace will fall off her board and one of the three tries are lost. At the end of the game, Jeremy will hand a bronze, silver or gold trophy depending on the score.
Background Information[]
- When the player runs out of tries, Isabella will appear and say "Rad surfing, Candace!", and Candace will reply "Thanks! I know!". This dialogue was not present in the iOS version.
