Disney Infinity is a video game from Disney Interactive Studios that was released on August 18, 2013 for current game consoles, followed by a Windows version on November 14, 2013. A second edition, called Disney Infinity 2.0 Edition (or Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes), was released for consoles on September 23, 2014 and for PC on October 2, 2014.

Similar to Skylanders, the video game uses collectible figurines that are then synthesized within the game, allowing characters from Disney and Pixar properties to interact and go on adventures. Two styles of gameplay are available: "Playsets" which feature missions and scenarios in line with the various franchise universes, and "Toy Box", which will allow players to mix and match characters from franchises while creating their own adventures.

Figurines for Phineas and Perry were sold exclusively by Gamestop on March 14, 2014 and became available at all other retailers starting April 1, 2014. They came together in the Phineas and Ferb Toy Box Pack along with a texture disc and two superdome sets. They were the last characters to be released in Disney Infinity 1.0. A crystal figure of Perry was released as a Toys "R" Us exclusive on June 8, 2014.

There were figures for Ferb and Doofenshmirtz that were planned to be released alongside Phineas and Perry. Ferb was seen in one of the launch trailers for Disney Infinity but was never made into a figure. A model and texture can be found for him in the game's files. Dr. Doofenshmirtz was not seen in any promotions or trailers but was found in the game's files as well. It was later revealed that both were scrapped because the development team felt Phineas and Perry were more popular with fans of the show. To this day you can still spawn them in the game via a hack.
