It's Your Call: Secret Agent Showdown is an interactive book based on Phineas and Ferb, comprising over ten endings. Originally planned for release as a physical book on October 8, 2013, it was published as an eBook-only on December 24, 2013.

Book Summary[]

Apart from the introductory prologue, the story's pages are randomly shuffled to maintain the secrecy of its structure. Navigation through them is done with the use of linked hypertext at the end and top of each one, allowing for a smooth continuation of the happenings sequence and a silky retrace if so desired. A target tag marks a doc's number, with halftone-like images of Perry decorating the labels. Once a finale is reached, a "THE END" message is displayed for a straight jump to the beginning, facilitating a hunt for other endings.

The reader assumes the role of a human O.W.C.A. agent-in-training as two separate plans unfold; Dr. Doofenshmirtz schemes to unleash his Backward-inator while the scientists of L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N. - Professor Poofenplotz, Rodney, and Dr. Diminutive - aim to sabotage Phineas and Ferb's Ultimate Animal Athletathon using a rhino-lizard-eagle-lion mech.

Following on the first branch leads to the protagonist sneakily scouring Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated to ascertain the doctor's ploy, getting to force his invention's activation or lurk for further intel. Doing the former constrains one to attempt convincing Heinz about the apparatus' effectiveness, either dazing him into unbuilding the machine or landing themselves onto a rewind loop. Acting the latter obtains some useful intel concerning business with the wicked crew, before a direct confrontation to snatch the device away from the wrong hands.

Going for the second path guides the hero towards the Flynn-Fletcher house in a secretive inspection of foul play on the brothers' event, coming to surveil the nefarious researchers or stay alongside Perry. Picking the anterior steers one into a snoop to glean the nefarious weapon, either swooping it from under the villains' noses for a team disabling or locking oneself due to overt privying. Performing the posterior presses an observation of the proceedings with the two creators, prior to imposing a genius truce for a rapidfire contrivance dismantling.

Overall, fourteen endings are available to achieve:

  1. Jamming on a backwards loop in failing to coerce Dr. Doofenshmirtz of the contraption's effects during an involuntary test.
  2. Reversing Doofenshmirtz's movement into undoing the machine in persuading him to check the components for a stalled tryout.
  3. Foiling the doctor's conspiracy along with Perry in bringing the covert up to speed regarding the current sappy circumstances.
  4. Thwarting L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N.'s diabolical venture via a chain reaction in employing the snatched inator on a dashing Candace.
  5. Backtracking the trajectory to the doctor's lab in being hit by the gadget after an endeavor to squabble with him for it.
  6. Earning a spot on the O.W.C.A.'s roster in utilizing the converse creation on Doofenshmirtz so that it can be unconstructed.
  7. Winding up in the middle of a pie-eating contest together with two animal spies in tracking down Professor Poofenplotz.
  8. Coming to win the obstacle course in trying to report on L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N.'s uncovered plot to a partaking operative.
  9. Wasting time searching for a tube entrance in striving to communicate L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N.'s discovered project to the Agency.
  10. Becoming stuck in a locker by the evil scientists in carelessly divulging an affiliation with the Agency for intimidation.
  11. Succeeding in having Perry collapse the mechanical beast through providing a support distraction to the unnerved scientists.
  12. Dizzying around onto the ground in ramming against the robotic creature amidst an effort to vigorously dominate its control.
  13. Landing the android abomination a star Broadway contract in provoking a blasting brawl between the rippled malign clique.
  14. Flourishing in permitting Perry to disassemble the animalia automaton by enforcing a peace treaty on the subdued devious members.
