Linda and Lawrence had both been single parents for a brief period of their lives, both left alone caring for their respective children after the untimely ending of a previous marriage. They were united when they fell in love with each other in their mid-twenties.
When they were married not long afterwards, their children joined each other as step-siblings. Lawrence and his son Ferb moved to the United States to live with Linda and her children Phineas and Candace. They had since resided together leading a single blended family.
Linda's Impression of Lawrence
As Lawrence's wife, Linda cares about him dearly and loves him the way he is. She can't imagine having a better husband. She once said that Lawrence's references to history were what made her fall for him. ("Out to Launch")
She wasn't very happy with him when he failed to remember the date of their anniversary. Nonetheless, she was delighted with the anniversary celebration he prepared for her later that evening. ("Dude, We're Getting the Band Back Together")
Linda apparently has an inherent liking for people who can communicate as a truck driver over a CB Radio, as her admiration for Lawrence deepened after he demonstrated his prowess over doing it. However, she quickly lost that admiration after Lawrence let out a triumphant squeal. ("Road Trip")
She has shown that she is attracted to Lawrence and enjoys his rhubarb crème brûlée, which is something he used to make for her while they were dating. ("The Mom Attractor")
Lawrence's Impression of Linda
Lawrence admires his wife and loves her dearly. He cares about her the same way she does for him and takes their marriage very seriously.
However, he was caught unprepared for their anniversary and had to be reminded by Candace of the event that took place that day. Though unhappy with himself for forgetting the date, he, with the help of Phineas, Candace and Ferb, managed to prepare a Love Händel reunion concert. His wife was delighted at what he had prepared and together, they reenacted the first kiss they had shared in a moment no one in the Flynn-Fletcher family would ever forget. ("Dude, We're Getting the Band Back Together")
He feared she was losing interest in him during her Lindana comeback tour and sought Phineas and Ferb's help to make him a musical celebrity with the intention of appealing to her as "more exciting". As it turned out however, Linda loved him the way he was. ("Ladies and Gentlemen, Meet Max Modem!")
Candace unknowingly gave Lawrence the idea to make Linda a cake. She notices the rhubarb crème brûlée and eats it when Candace was trying to bust. ("The Mom Attractor")
