This article is about the bus itself. You may be looking for the song.
Perry the Platy-Bus is a featured article. It is therefore considered to be one of the wiki's greatest articles. If you see a way this page can be updated or improved without compromising previous work, please feel free to contribute.
Besides the trailer, there was a truck used for giveaways sponsored by Disney Channel, Disney XD and Radio Disney that also tows the trailer, several large Perry the Inaction Figure stools, a miniature replica of the Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated blimp and a recreation of the backyard of the Flynn-Fletcher house where the boys hatch their big ideas. There were also two bills: one short one that is used to tow the Platy-Bus from site to site, the other a longer display bill.
2011 Tour: New York to California
The original tour began on July 11, 2011 outside of the ABC Good Morning America studios in New York's Times Square with appearances by the Phineas, Ferb and Agent P costumed characters, along with co-creators and executive producers Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh and voice actors Alyson Stoner (Isabella Garcia-Shapiro) and Dee Bradley Baker (Perry). After a performance by a local performance school choir of Everything's Better with Perry (which marked the song's official debut), the Platy-Bus was unveiled. From there, after a cross-country tour, the vehicle was at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood for the movie's premiere, then traveled to San Diego's annual Comic-Con International, and ultimately to the bi-annual D23 Convention in Anaheim, California.
Inside the Platy-bus were demonstrations of AT2D video games, a "Perry-oke" singalong and a virtual 2D converter were visitors can insert their pictures with virtual reality.
2012 Tour: Where's Perry?
The 2012 tour, mostly held in the Midwest, was tied into the two-part summer cliffhanger "Where'sPerry?" that began on July 25, 2012 at the Washington County Fair in West Bend, Wisconsin, one day before the episode premiered. It ended following the conclusion's debut August 27 at the Minnesota State Fair in St. Paul, Minnesota. In between, the tour visited the Coast Guard Festival outside Detroit, Chicago's Navy Pier, where Dan, Swampy, Alyson and Vincent Martella (Phineas's voice actor) "found" the Agent P walkabout character somewhere between the Tri-State Area and Africa, as well as visits to the Indiana State Fair in Indianapolis and the Illinois State Fair in Springfield, Illinois. The trailer was overhauled to create an interactive argumented reality experience on Perry's whereabouts with Phineas and Ferb characters via a giant video screen.
A video tour of the Platybus is shown on The Perry Files DVD as a bonus feature.
The bus was retrofitted for a Doc McStuffins promotional campaign in 2013.
