Recent Changes Patrol
For those of you unaware, the Recent Changes Patrol is a group of our users who keep an eye on all the edits made to the wiki and watch for vandalism, truthfullness, and all matters of rule-following. However, this group has been slacking off lately, myself included and we need to get back on track with our vigilance.
We have recently discovered that the Recent Changes page only goes back 30 days. This was important because we had not been keeping track of the changes for more than this amount of time. The admin group can only do so much on the wiki, and our attention has been focused elsewhere recently. This means it's more important for our Rollback users to step up and fill in this necessary gap.
We are also looking for more users to help out that are already doing part of the job. We have some names in mind, and if you're on our list you can expect to be contacted in the next couple of days. If you'd like to volunteer before you're called upon, please feel free.
Qualified candidates will be users who have no history of blocking, have demonstrated a good working knowledge of the series and of the rules, and are already doing things like marking necessary items for deletion, fixing mistakes from other users, etc. Just marking items that you are already doing now will go a long way to helping us keep up to date.
To Everything There is a Season
While we are still working out whether the upcoming episodes on June 14th will be part of Season 2 or Season 3, there are some other changes we plan on making over the next few days.
First, "Phineas and Ferb Get Busted!" and "Unfair Science Fair/Unfair Science Fair Redux (Another Story)" will be officially made part of Season 1. The reason for this is because they were produced as part of Season 1 and aired in Latin America closer to being included in Season 1. Also, iTunes has them listed as part of Season 1.
The iTunes listing will play an important role going forward to determine what season episodes will be included with. This is because the iTunes list is as close as we can get to the official production/aired run order from Disney. Our communications with the producers have slowed since the show has ramped up production for Season 3. Therefore, we needed to find another way to determine season location.
It has become increasingly difficult due to Disney's schedule not being that of a standard network with a major break in time between airings of new episodes. Now, we may be seeing that now, but that is still to be determined. From now on, we ask that everyone resist the temptation to move episodes around until we make an official decision.

The first update to our menu has been put into place. If you look in the Community section, you will see a new Voting choice. The six items we regularly vote on are there, as well as a link to the policy candidates.
Though it may seem boring, we do need more people to vote on the policy candidates. The ones I've written have been reasonable and well thought-out as far as I can tell, but additional votes will show that other people agree. And if other people don't agree, we need to know that as well so we can fix what's wrong.
While our wiki seems large, it's also small enough that each vote has a significant impact. Show your support for the wiki and cast your vote today. — RRabbit42.

Retro Review: One Good Scare and Plenty of Firsts
by RRabbit42
Welcome to Retro Review #2. This time, we're going to revisit "One Good Scare Ought to Do It!". It wasn't the first two-part episode to air (that honor would go to "It's About Time!"), but it did offer many firsts.
For many of the fans, the most notable first goes to Isabella, who receives her first prominent role in this episode, taking part in most of the scenes with Phineas. For others, it's the first time we hear Perry's theme. Dr. Doofenshmirtz also has a couple of firsts, revealing who one of his mentors was and even realizing that sometimes an evil scheme might actually impractical or pointless to do. Finally, we see the first appearance of the Giant floating baby head, what could have been a throw-away joke, but now is a recurring character.
But for me, the most significant first is the introduction of Jeremy Johnson's younger sister, Suzy. Even though we saw her a few months earlier in "Crack That Whip", we can tell that "One Good Scare" is the first time she and Candace have ever met and that "Crack That Whip" happens afterwards.

Which is the real Suzy?
|
We see a girl who presents two faces. One face is sweet and innocent. The other is deliberate and mean. It leads some of the visitors to our wiki to think of her as a villain, but she's not, at least in the traditional sense. She isn't a career criminal. She has a specific reason for the way she acts. It isn't until the Season 2 episode "Suddenly Suzy" that we learn what it is.
"One Good Scare" ends after Isabella helps rescue Phineas and leaves us with some unanswered questions:
- Why does Suzy feel she needs to act this way to protect and control Jeremy?
- Given that the relationship between Candace and Jeremy will in all likelihood grow in the future, will we see more interference by Suzy?
- What happened between Buford and Suzy to make him consider her "the face of evil"?
I think the second is very likely, but I'm not so sure we'll get a further explanation for the first beyond what we saw in "Suddenly Suzy". It's my fond hope, however, that we will see why "Little Suzy Johnson" gives Buford the willies. His reaction to her when they see each other and his need to "wash away the horror" are just too good to remain unanswered.
So, for an episode with many firsts and several unanswered questions, I'll give this episode an A+.
Agree with this review? Disagree? Can't really decide? Let us know on our talk page.

Bi-Weekly Top 5
as voted on by the members of the wiki
Poll #14: What is Carl's best disguise for undercover work?
This poll was a bit different due to the sheer number of voting selections. Though the poll only covered 4 episodes, the last one, "Undercover Carl", featured a staggering 46 costumes that Carl tried on before settling on a overalls and a baseball cap to pass himself off as a kid.
Likely due to the large number of choices, we had the second fewest number of voters of any of our polls, barely above poll #2. This is probably a one-time event and all future polls should have a reasonable amount of voting choices.
Largest number of votes in each section:
- Dr. Coconut. — 4 votes.
- A boy in overalls. — 3 votes.
- A baby. — 3 votes. ("The Beak")
- Tie, with 2 votes each:
- Employee at Blueprint Heaven. — ("I Scream, You Scream")
- Wearing a pinafore, similar to Isabella's. — ("Undercover Carl")
Largest total number of votes:
1. Dr. Coconut. — 10 votes.
2. Tie, with 7 votes each:
- Employee at Blueprint Heaven.
- Hippie. — ("Undercover Carl")
- Dr. Doofenshmirtz — ("Undercover Carl")
5. A baby.

My Phineas and Ferb Birthday Cake
by JeremyCreek
Hello folks. JeremyCreek here. As you may or may not know, yesterday (May 31st) was my birthday. I received plenty of cool Phineas and Ferb paraphernalia along with Super Mario Galaxy 2 at my birthday party last Saturday, but that is not what I am spotlighting here. Rather, in lieu of my usual comic strip panel in this newsletter, I am going to show off the cake we had!
Although I had not had a themed birthday party with cartoon characters drawn on the cake since my tweenage years, my mom was willing to give in to my request to feature Phineas and Ferb on the cake this year. To accomplish the visuals you see here, she made two regular-sized cakes into one big one. And in two different flavors, I might add! The left side with Ferb is vanilla-flavored, and the right side with Phineas is chocolate. It probably goes without saying that Phineas's half of the cake was the more popular one at the party. As of this writing, we still have plenty of slices left of Ferb's vanilla side, but Phineas's chocolate half is now all gone. But I figured you readers and the rest of the guys working for the Tri-State Gazette would like to get a look at the cake, so I made sure to snap this photo before we got around to cutting the cake. And hey, if Disney News Magazine were still around, I'd definitely share this photo with them!
Another user will be celebrating their birthday soon and is looking for advice on a Phineas and Ferb theme for the party. Stop by their blog (Blog deleted) to see what ideas have been ventured, and post your own.

Hands-on with the new toys, part three
by Ferbluver and RRabbit42
When Ferbluver mentioned that he got the Transforming Perry toy, I asked if he would write a review on it. He said yes, so his review will be joining mine this issue. But before we get to that, there's three others to look at.
Of all the Phineas and Ferb toys I've bought so far, these are the ones that are the most curious. The picture on the left is the Sticky Handinator, which is a stretchy hand that you can throw or just press against a surface like a wall and it will stick. The little triangle at the other end is there to give it a little weight and to show that Dr. Doofenshmirtz was there. The actual color of the material is almost clear. The yellow color in the second picture is from my camera, which means I need to read the manual a little more to figure out exposure and color balance settings.
In a previous newsletter, I reviewed the "Gabble Heads", which are small figures that will play recordings when you bump them. The third picture shows the Phineas and the Ferb "Giggle Heads". These little guys make a chirping or giggling sound when you shake them. You can get some different sounds out of them, depending on how vigorously you shake them. I do recommend that you grip them by the feet because the heads are on springs and they are going to bend a lot as you shake them. Your knuckles will thank you.
And now on to the main event.
The Transforming Perry is a stuffed toy that you can change, depending on which mood you're in. It has a flap on the back with velcro on it. If you open that up, you can turn it inside out to reveal its other mode, that of Perry the Platypus. Here's what Ferbluver has to say about it:
“
|
Overall, I like the Perry the Transforming Perry. When I first got it, I wanted to change it to Perry. I tried to put it to Perry but since the hat was a little big it ended up looking like a hump back whale with a bill. So I took some cotton and suffed it so it looked like Perry. I kinda thought it would be bigger when I saw it on the Disney store. I dont think it shouldve been 20 dollars. My favorite version is Perry though the Agent P did look normaller.

As Ferbluver notes, it takes a little bit to make sure everything's even when you make the change. I seemed to have more trouble with the velcro trying to grab the fabric while I was working with it. But that was easily fixed. It's a pretty neat little toy. Look for it at Toys R Us and other places like the Disney Store.
Vacation action shots
by RRabbit42
Having just got my Transforming Perry home, it was time to take him on the road. He and I visited Multnoma Falls on the Oregon side of the Columbia River. Perry was a real trooper, posing for a picture with the sign, and never complaining on the climb up the trail. Once I made sure the coast was clear and Dr. Doofenshmirtz wasn't lurking anywhere nearby, Agent P stood guard on a tree hanging over the river while I took a breather.
He also sat on the ledge of the observation platform at the top the falls, but in the few minutes it took for us to walk from that tree to the platform, clouds had rolled in and the picture didn't turn out very good. Maybe Doofenshmirtz managed to get off another shot from his Gloominator? Naturally, by the time we made it back down (and Agent P had gone back off duty), the weather cleared up enough for me to get a picture of the falls from near the foot bridge.
The next day, we headed over to the Oregon coast so that one of the world's shortest secret agents could see the world's shortest river. It's promoted as being only 120 feet long. The original measurement was 440 feet, but another river beat it out a few years later. So now they go with 120 feet when an "extreme tide" rolls in. The picture with Agent P is looking back towards the lake.
Join in on the fun!
With summer vacation coming up, why not take one of the Phineas and Ferb books, toys or games with you? Get a picture of it in front of a landmark or sign and share it with us. We are looking for ways to create a photo gallery that everyone can add to with their vacation action shots. We can do it here, but we also have a Facebook account for the Wiki, so we are checking on whether that would work better.
