The Fourth Season of Phineas and Ferb was officially announced on August 25, 2011. It had been renewed as part of a multi-year, multi-million dollar deal between creators Dan Povenmire, Jeff "Swampy" Marsh, and Disney.[1] On November 9, 2011, it was announced that the fourth season will pick up with new episodes rolling out through 2014.

The season started with "For Your Ice Only", a winter-themed sports episode and "Happy New Year!", a celebration of New Years Day on December 7, 2012 on Disney Channel US and December 31, 2012 on Disney XD.[2]

Some celebrity guests include Luc Robitaille, Samantha Bee, Jaime Pressly, Parry Gripp, Wayne Brady, Kelly Osbourne, Maia Mitchell, Simon Baker, Goldie Hawn[3], Elizabeth Banks, Leah Remini[4], Simon Pegg, Billy Gardell[5], Chef Gordon Ramsay[6][7] and Gravity Falls creator/executive producer Alex Hirsch.

Other episodes include "Sidetracked" and "Primal Perry", a commemoration of Platypus Day, a musical featuring the one-hit wonder Phineas and the Ferb-Tones, an episode that succeeds the events of Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension along with a crossover episode featuring the Marvel Universe[8] and one that will feature a Star Wars crossover. [9]

On February 15, 2014, it was announced that work on this season was completed and the show will take an indefinite hiatus.[10] This hiatus ended in February 20, 2014.

Title sequence changes from Season 3

The title sequence remains the same, but images from Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension, "Doof Dynasty", "Moon Farm", "The Remains of the Platypus", "Escape from Phineas Tower", "Tri-Stone Area", "Excaliferb", and "Bully Bromance Breakup" replace the ones from Season 2.
