Hello my friends, I'm Bob, and this is the Blog of Bob(it’s also apparently my 1000th contribution which I think is pretty awesome). Anywhoodles this is the blog detailing my latest theory. As I usually say Phineas and Ferb is the story of two ten year old (approximately) step-brothers who seek to make every day the best day ever. As I’ve spoken of previously, relationships play a very major role in our online community, Of the relationships to become very prominent in this series, two seem to get much focus amongst our fandom. Candace and Jeremy the series only official major couple is not included because well quite frankly most people find Jeremy too boring to care about.
The couples I speak of are Isabella Garcia-Shapiro’s infatuation with our pointy faced protagonist Phineas, and his step-brother Ferb’s own infatuation on Vanessa Doofenshmirtz the lovely teenage daughter of Ferb’s pet platypus arch-nemesis. Why do I, a person who commonly provides the devil’s advocate view on the Phinbella ship and refuse to comment on any pairing involving Ferb, continue with these pointless tales? I dunno, not much else to do really. Isabella, the little girl with a big crush on Phineas as you may or may not know is named after series creator Dan Povenmire’s oldest daughter. Her crush on the straight laced optimistic Phineas who would never cause any aggravation intentionally is what Povenmire as a father could only hope for in his offspring’s future dealings with the opposite gender.
On the opposite side of the coin we have Vanessa Doofenshmirtz, who is actually voiced by story editor Martin Olson’s teenage daughter Olivia. While she has not displayed an interest in Ferb actively and in fact the mere coupling appears to simply be a reference to Thomas Sangster’s interest in Olivia Olson in the movie Love Actually. I also believe that the replacement of Johnny(a punk) with Ferb(a child prodigy) as Vanessa’s primary love interest is indeed similar to the aforementioned case of daddy dearest not wanting his precious offspring to be associated with a more unsightly type of fellow. Am I reading too much into this? Probably but come on you should know by now that’s what this random guy does. Thank you and good night
