Throughout the baseball season this year, the Los Angeles Dodgers have been offering special "My Town" days at home games featuring a themed menu and a special T-shirt. From Tokyo to Brookyln to Bikini Bottom to a galaxy far far away, the Dodgers have honored various locales both real and fictional. Soon, it will be Danville's time to shine.
On July 22, the Dodgers welcome the New York Mets, and on Phineas and Ferb Night, those who purchase tickets to sit in the My Town section of the stadium will recieve a special Dodgers/Phineas and Ferb T-shirt and choose from an all-you-can-eat menu of themed foods: Ph-antastic burgers, Ferbtastic fruit, Danville Dogs, nacho-average-platypus, popcorn-inator and Candace's i-scream. Phineas and Ferb are on hand to entertain the crowd before the game and will also serve as honorary batboys, and creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh will throw out the first pitch.
To see what the shirt looks like and to purchase tickets if you happen to be in the LA area, swing on over to the Dodgers' website. And if you haven't already, check out the amusing video featuring the Dodgers Code of Conduct as sung by Phineas, Ferb, and Doofenshmirtz.
