This one is for you folks who, unlike me, aren't a little old to be watching Phineas and Ferb (or are the parents of one): Disney has launched their third annual "U Rock" contest, which allows young Disney fans to create their own music videos to songs from Disney Channel shows and bands and upload them on a special website for the chance to win a prize relating to that show or band. This year, Phineas and Ferb have come along for the ride- one of the prizes, which goes with making a music video for "Backyard Beach", is a trip to Hollywood to go behind the scenes of Phineas and Ferb, meet the creators, and record a voice-over for an episode of the show. So if you're under 18 (or have a kid of your own) and live in the United States, go ahead and ask your parents' permission and make yourself a video. Best of luck and HAVE FUN!
Some of the important rules: Entrant must be a minor or parent of a minor entering for the legal benefit of that minor residing in the 50 United States or DC with a Disney upload account. Up to 30 submissions are allowed per entrant, however, each must be unique- duplicate submissions will be disqualified. Submission must be 40 seconds or shorter- any longer submission will be disqualified- must not contain any outside copyrighted material or music other than the song material provided by Disney, and must not contain any obscene, offensive, or inappropriate content. Grand prizes are special perks and have no substitution value.
This abridgment of the important rules appears here for reference only. Disney Online is the sole sponsor of the contest and neither myself, the Phineas and Ferb Wiki, its users and/or administrators, and/or Wikia have any affiliation with the contest.
