Toonzone has come across articles from the LA Times and NY Times that Phineas and Ferb is on it's way to becoming the next Spongebob, and a spinoff for the Fireside Girls is being considered.

Disney has shifted gears from a soft to a hard sell for “Phineas and Ferb.” Costumed characters have been introduced at Disneyland, where posters advertising the show also adorn ticket kiosks. First off, Irving, the fanboy. Ever since his debut in Hide and Seek, he's quickly become the most annoying character on the show. It's gotten to where he's become, in my opinion The Wesley: A comibination of being hated by fans, loved by writers, and put into big scenes for no reason. So far, he's met two of the three criteria (The fans seem to like him), so he's getting close. Besides that, in his latest episode, Not Phineas and Ferb, I practically facepalmed through the second half, expecting Albert to get comeuppance by Irving, and then show the real Phineas and Ferb, but it never happens.
