Welcome back to The Numbers Game! It's been a little while since I've been around regularly, so you gotta tell me, what'd I miss? While you do, I can tell you that this is Volume 45 of the blog that breaks down the numbers of our favorite show.
Phineas and Ferb's fourth season kicked off on Friday, December 7 with "For Your Ice Only / Happy New Year!". Thanks to a strong lead-in from Austin & Jessie & Ally All-Star New Year, it was for the eyes of 3.704 million viewers, a stunning 52 percent increase from one week prior. This broke a streak of 5 consecutive episodes below 3 million, and was also good for No. 21 on the week's Cable Top 25.
The episode also registered strongly in its target age groups. It checked in at No. 3 on the week among both Kids 6-11 as well as Tweens 9-14. Among Kids 2-11, it ranked No. 6, marking the show's first appearance in that Top 10 in nearly 3 months. The across-the-board ratings gain was especially evident among Adults 18-49, where viewership surged by an astounding 73 percent to a 0.6 rating.
It appears that Phineas and Ferb will be back on the new airwaves on Friday, January 11, 2013 with "Fly On the Wall". Before that, The Numbers Game will be back with numbers on the four episodes that I missed. Plus, keep an eye out for the 4th Annual Year-In-Review-inator! Until then, follow @RyanStoppable on Twitter, I'M GONNA WRECK IT!, and remember...that the numbers never lie.
