We're into July now, and you know what that means: it's probably some Danville character's birthday! (I mean, seriously, does everyone connected to the Flynn-Fletchers have a summer birthday?) One thing that doesn't though is The Numbers Game! This is Volume 58 of the blog that breaks down the numbers of our favorite show.

Amidst high expectations, the "Phineas and Ferb Musical Cliptastic Countdown Hosted by Kelly Osbourne" (deep breath) premiered on Friday, June 28. Sadly, it did not live up to those expectations (well, ours at least), tallying up 3.116 million viewers[1] on a 1.9 household rating[2], a 5 percent decrease in viewers from the previous week. Furthermore, it fell 30 percent from the first Cliptastic Countdown back in 2009.[3] Unlike its three fellow Disney Channel premieres on the evening, Phineas and Ferb was unable to crack the Cable Top 25, although they did secure the channel's top four spots on the week.[2]

Due to Independence Day messing up schedules in the United States, viewership information from the show's target age groups was not available for this episode. Among Adults 18-49, viewership decreased by 11 percent, although it remained at a 0.5 rating.[1]

Phineas and Ferb returns to the new airwaves this Friday, July 12 at 9:30 PM Eastern (8:30 Central) with "La Candace-Cabra / Happy Birthday, Isabella". (Do you see what I mean?) The Numbers Game will return to cover it, and also last week's episode, as soon as it can. Until then, wish Candace a happy birthday (because hers is tomorrow!), follow @RyanStoppable on Twitter, and remember...that the numbers never lie.

  1. 1.0 1.1 Friday's Cable Ratings: Disney Originals, "WWE Smackdown" Top Charts (July 2, 2013)
  2. 2.0 2.1 Disney Channel ratings (June 24-30, 2013) (July 5, 2013)
  3. Its 4.449 million viewers make it, four years later, still the No. 2 rated episode to date.
