Phineas and Ferb Wiki

Hello. This is your friendly neighborhood bureaucrat. Over the past week, I have made some mistakes while attempting to launch our new venture, the Phineas and Ferb Wiki Community Message Board.

First, I approved a cryptic message that was sent to several users under an anonymous IP address. This was a mistake. The invitation should have been more recognizable, so as not to have been mistaken for a spam message. My intention was to stir up some interest for the site without actually giving away too much information about it since it was still wasn't ready for mass consumption.

Next, I allowed our first "official" revelation of the Message Board to be delivered by a secondary account of a user who shall remain nameless. This was also a mistake. We should have been more up front about all of you about this project, rather than shroud it in secrecy. This was done to help the user who posted the blog from getting bombarded with questions concerning the message board. All it did was raise further questions about the legitimacy of the blog and the Message Board itself.

Then, because of the mistakes outlined above, responses to the post were very slim. As of the writing of this blog, we have only had four members join because of the blog. We would like to get a group of ten users together who will start talking on the message board to help us work any bugs that might be left in the system. Let me explain the whole system again.

First, head on over to http://phineasandferb.freepowerboards.com/ and find the Register link in the menu on the left side of the page. You will need an email address. If you don't have one, you can sign up for a Gmail account for free. Once you've filled out the registration form, you will need to wait for a moderator or admin to approve your registration for the closed beta test. Keep an eye on your email. You should be approved in about an hour or less.

Please feel free to sign up, even if you weren't contacted earlier. We're going to take approximately 6 more users. If you do sign up, please start posting. The more posts we get, the quicker we can open up the Message Board to the public. What we are trying to do is get a handle on whether we've got everything set up correctly and our moderators can handle issues that might arise.

Again, I apologize for the way this announcement has been handled, but please check out the board, register, and start using it.
