"I guess, but I didn't get a script. I mean, what's my motivation in this scene?"
— Vance Ward, responding to Doofenshmirtz[src]

Vance Ward is a movie actor who serves as the test subject for Doofenshmirtz's Ugly-inator.

Biography[]

To demonstrate the Ugly-inator, Doofenshmirtz presents Vance to Perry with the premise of proving that his newest invention can turn anything unpleasant. Thinking that he is shooting a movie scene, the actor is shot by the inator, transforming him into an unattractive man. Doofenshmirtz lifts up his living room via a hot air balloon, bringing a trapped Vance to watch him proceed with his scheme.

After Perry gets the Ugly-inator out of Doofenshmirtz's hands, he replaces the frog with a picture of Vance, reversing the effects of the inator. He then shoots the actor, who frees himself and jumps out of the balloon, only to be caught by Perry, who uses the Slow Motion-inator on them both. Vance, walking slowly, appears in the backyard, prompting Ferb to comment on his speed ("The Best Lazy Day Ever").

Physical appearance[]

Vance is light-skinned and has blond hair and green eyes. He wears a blue shirt, a white jacket, white pants, a black belt with a yellow frame, and black shoes with grey details.

As an ugly person, he has a deformed face, brown hair, brown armpit hair, and brown chest hair. He wears a white sleeveless shirt, olive green pants, a brown shoe on his left foot, and a lavender sock on his right foot.

Personality[]

He is melodramatic and enthusiastic. An actor, he depends on scripts and directions to perform actions. He is usually energetic regardless of the situation, excitedly going along with Doofenshmirtz's plan and fearfully jumping out of the doctor's hot air balloon.

Relationships[]

Doofenshmirtz[]

Doofenshmirtz is a fan of the actor, having a autographed picture of him in his living room, which is the key to his defeat.

Public[]

He seems to be popular with the general public, known to many for being handsome.

Background Information[]

  • Vance is a parody of the stereotypical actor, a handsome figure who is excessively associated with their most notable role.
  • While not explicitly shown, it is implied that Doofenshmirtz convinced Vance to go along with his scheme by telling the actor that he would be shooting a movie.
  • Based on Ferb's statement, it is likely that Vance is known for his roles in action films, which often contain many fast-paced scenes.
  • Vance is the first character to be voiced by Diedrich Bader, before he became a recurring cast member with the part of Albert.
  • Vance is one of the contestants shown on the commercial for Dancing with the Bears, a Dancing with the Stars parody ("Ferb TV").
