The Yeti, also known as the Abominable Snowman, is a creature who supposedly inhabits the Himalayas. He helps the kids save the town celebration by finding a substitute Christmas tree.

Biography[]

Background[]

The Yeti reportedly originated in Tibetan culture, initially as an ape-like creature whose blood was sought, and eventually as an animal who is able to follow Dharma. The modern image of the creature was popularized in the 20th century with the sightings of unidentified footprints, hairs, and animals in the Himalayan region, culminating in the 1950s with several alleged pieces of evidence for its existence found in expeditions to the mountain range. Analyzing these, it was concluded that the main cause of Yeti sightings is the misidentification of wildlife, such as the Tibetan blue bear, the Himalayan brown bear, and the Asian black bear.

Phineas and Ferb[]

Phineas, Ferb, Isabella, Baljeet, and Buford travel to the mountains to find a Christmas tree for the town celebration. There, they begin to traverse a narrow path, when a Yeti jumps in front of them, to their shock. Scared, Isabella wonders what they should do, and Phineas realizes that the creature doesn't want to hurt them. Explaining their situation to the Yeti, the kids befriend him. After playing in the snow, the Abominable Snowman guides the gang to an evergreen tree, picking it from the ground. Seeing a snowball in the way, the group decide to slide down the mountain using the tree, thanking the Yeti for his help as they hop on (Oh, Christmas Tree!).

In the title sequence, Phineas and Ferb give the Yeti a shower as one of the winter activities mentioned. In another scene, the Yeti helps the kids place a star atop a giant Christmas tree ("Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation!").

Physical appearance[]

In the book, the Yeti is a monster-like creature covered in white hair with light brown hands and feet, brown claws, and yellow scleras.

In the opening, the Yeti is an ape-like creature covered in white hair with a dark grey face, dark grey hands and feet, grey nails, and pink scleras.

Personality[]

He is friendly and tame. According to Ferb, the Yeti is a vegetarian and rarely shows aggression unless he feels threatened. Noticing that the kids mean no harm, he befriends the kids and helps them in their mission.

Relationships[]

The kids are initially scared of the Yeti, but once they realize he is inoffensive, they have fun with him, playing freeze tag, making snow angels, and building snowmen.
